So, shortly after my last post, I finished The Shattering and put it back on my bookshelf. Some I had were answered, and honestly, it just made me miss playing World of Warcraft more than I already do.
I HAVE THINGS TO STAB AND OTHER THINGS TO HEAL. Don’t judge me.
Anyways. Next book on my list is The Dragonsoul Saga – Book One : A Balance Broken by J.T. Hartke. I picked this up at Gen Con last year, and he sold me on the book with just a short conversation about what his book was about. I am making an effort to have it read before Gen Con THIS year, because if its as good as he described, it may become one of my new favorite fantasy novels.
I really wanted to go to the release tonight, but I don’t know if I can justify spending the money in my current position. Either way, I REALLY want Ral Zarek and Melek, Izzet Paragon for my Izzet EDH. I picked up an Izzet shirt from Wal-Mart earlier in the week to show my guild pride, and besides my Kemba/Cats deck, it is my favorite deck so far. I’m an Izzet at heart, destroying whatever is in my way for the greater good of SCIENCE. And weirds.
In other gaming news, I haven’t done any mini painting since I finished the Mice and Mystics set. I have plenty to paint, I really just need to sit down with my extras and practice, maybe that’s something I can show off later this week. Played City of Thieves for the first time this week, too. I am looking forward to playing it again, as it was better than I expected. The art is awesome, though the art on the board and character cards vs the art on the arcana cards are so different that I’d never guess they were from the same game.
Working on a dreamcatcher and a couple other personal projects at the moment. Beyond that, there’s not much to report. I’ll fold for the evening, and call it a night!
